Your Only Source For a Free Credit Report

Posted by Al

There are many websites that claim to offer free credit reports but  any idea why is it that they want your creditcard number? That is because their credit reports aren’t really free as they do not offer free credit reports but only offer free trial membership to their credit monitoring service that includes a credit report but you must call in and cancel your member post the trial dates which his usually very hard because it is usually not more than a couple of days. Also there are many other fine prints that makes it very difficult for you to end up canceling so chances are you end up paying for your report at a premium report.

There is however one government owned website that is truly free and per law, you are supposed to know the information about you from the major credit bureaus. The website is www.annualcreditreport.com which is run and maintained by US government which gives you a history of your credit for up to  7 years before.
So next time you want to take a car loan, home loan, open a credit card, rent an apartment or any other thing  that you may  need to check your credit, remember that you do it for free before you pay to any credit agency for your credit report.

Of course, if you are taking a payday loan from a direct payday lender like Pay1day.com, then you won’t need any credit report as your job, your positive bank account, and your paycheck is usually good enough for a payday advance loan.
